the crucible
by arthur miller

A gripping story of fear, accusation, and moral courage.

What is the play about?

The Crucible is set in Salem, Massachusetts, in 1692, during the infamous witch trials. When a group of girls is caught in the woods at night, their accusations of witchcraft spread through the town, and fear quickly turns neighbor against neighbor.

As the court gains power and the accusations multiply, farmer John Proctor is forced to confront his own past and decide what his name and his integrity are truly worth.

Full of powerful roles and emotional intensity, The Crucible is Arthur Miller's timeless look at suspicion, hysteria, and moral courage, and its questions still resonate today.
