Dive into the language, rhythm, and excitement of Shakespeare in this dynamic, hands-on workshop designed just for adults. Led by Equity actor David Lewis—whose extensive classical experience includes seasons with the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and the American Shakespeare Center—you’ll gain the tools and confidence to make Shakespeare’s text feel natural, accessible, and alive.

Cost is $100

This four-session experience is thoughtfully structured to guide you from audition to performance:

Session 1: The Shakespeare Audition
Learn the unique approach to auditioning for Shakespeare. David will walk you through how to break down the text, make strong choices, and present a compelling audition that stands out.

Session 2: Casting & Direction
Participants will be cast in carefully selected Shakespearean scenes. You’ll begin working with David to shape your character, explore relationships, and bring clarity and intention to the language.

Session 3: Rehearsal & Refinement
Continue developing your scene with focused coaching, building confidence, connection, and performance skills in a supportive environment.

Session 4: Perform & Share
After a short break to gather simple props or costume pieces, you’ll return to perform your scene for the group in a relaxed, celebratory showcase—an opportunity to share your work and experience the joy of bringing Shakespeare to life.

Whether you’re new to Shakespeare or looking to sharpen your skills, this workshop is a fun, encouraging space to stretch yourself, connect with others, and discover just how exciting Shakespeare can be.
