Have you ever watched a show and thought, “I’d love to direct someday”? This is your weekend. Charitable Acts Theatre is bringing local theatre veteran Laurie Turnblom to the UVU Wasatch Campus for a two-day directing workshop for adults — and it’s completely free.
About Laurie
Laurie started teaching theatre at Wasatch High School in 2002 and has spent more than 20 years teaching and directing plays and musicals every year. She’s passionate about mentoring new directors, and this workshop is her chance to pass along what she’s learned — whether you’ve never directed before or you’re ready to take your next show further.

Why a directing workshop?
Theatre groups all over the valley are always looking for directors, and there’s a lot of talent out there that just needs a little confidence and a few tools. Our hope is that this workshop helps more people step into directing — for CAT and for every theatre company in Wasatch County.
This workshop is made possible in part by the Wasatch County TAP (Trails, Arts & Parks) program.
